Job Title: MidLevel Level Artist
Type: Contract
Level: MidLevel
Location: Vancouver BC
Workplace: Onsite 3 days a week
Duration: ASAP to 18 months with no chance for extension

3. Summary of the opportunity
Client Overview: The Coalition is a Microsoft firstparty development studio located in Vancouver Canada. As the official home of the Gears of War franchise they aim to push the limits of Microsofts entertainment platforms and devices.
Role Summary: As a MidLevel Level Artist you will partner with various teams to bring the artistic vision to life by creating visually stunning and highquality levels. You will collaborate with the Level Design Team other artists and follow the guidance of art direction to meet the studios goals.

4. What are the key responsibilities
Uphold the values of The Coalition Art Team and contribute to a positive and inclusive culture.
Produce highquality artwork and stay updated with current level art creation workflows and industry trends.
Collaborate with Art Leads and Level Art team members to achieve the artistic vision and maintain visual quality and consistency.
Work closely with the Level Design Team to solve art and design challenges and ensure levels are playable and performant.
Provide detailed breakout sheets and communicate environment set requirements to the Environment Art Team.
Communicate dependencies blockers and crossdepartment challenges to the Production Team and Art Leads.

5. What experience are we looking for to drive success
MUSTHave Skills and Qualifications:
A portfolio showcasing highquality environment and level artwork.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in environment/level art with at least one shipped title.
Strong time management skills and ability to work well with deadlines.
Proficiency in level creation methods using Unreal Engine or a similar game engine.
Strong working knowledge of Maya (preferred) or similar 3D modeling software Substance Photoshop and ZBrush.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
Experience with modular kit Unreal and environment art.
Familiarity with console games and AAA game development.
