Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules using scheduling software such as Primavera P6 Oracle Primavera Cloud Microsoft Project or similar tools.
- Coordinate with project controls project managers engineers subcontractors and suppliers to gather necessary information for scheduling purposes.
- Create detailed schedules outlining the sequence of activities durations and resource requirements for the entire project lifecycle.
- Utilize scheduling best practices including Work Breakdown Structure Schedule Narratives float management activity codes maintain Schedule Impact Log etc.
- Allocate project resources such as labor equipment and materials based on project requirements and schedule constraints.
- Monitor progress against the baseline schedule identify deviations and suggest corrective actions as necessary.
- Conduct schedule impact assessments to evaluate the consequences of proposed changes or deviations from the original plan.
- Identify potential schedule risks and help develop mitigation strategies to minimize their impact on project timelines.
- Facilitate regular meetings with project teams to perform and review schedule updates address issues and ensure alignment on project objectives.
- Ability to follow Scheduling Standards and hold Project Managers and other schedulers accountable for compliance with those standards.
- Ensure that project schedules adhere to industry standards best practices and contractual requirements.
- Stay abreast of advancements in scheduling techniques software tools and industry trends to enhance scheduling capabilities.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in construction management engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a Construction Scheduler or similar role in the construction industry.
- Proficiency in scheduling software such as Primavera P6 Microsoft Project or similar tools. The company currently utilizes Oracle Primavera Cloud (OPC) so knowledge of this system is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Knowledge of construction processes techniques and terminology.
- Knowledge of Earned Value Management is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of PMI s Project Life Cycle is preferred but not required
