Job Description
Overview
As a Beautician you play a crucial role in enhancing the beauty and confidence of clients. Working in a salon spa or freelance setting your expertise in hair makeup and skincare will be utilized to provide a range of beauty services. Your attention to detail and creative flair will contribute to the overall satisfaction and wellbeing of the clientele.
Key responsibilities
- Create and execute personalized hair treatments such as cutting coloring and styling to meet clients preferences.
- Apply professional makeup for various occasions ensuring client satisfaction and adherence to hygiene standards.
- Provide skin analyses and administer facial treatments including cleansing exfoliation and masks tailored to the clients skin type.
- Perform nail care services including manicures pedicures and nail enhancements with precision and creativity.
- Consult and recommend beauty products techniques and regimens to clients based on their individual needs.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment including sanitizing tools and equipment after each use.
- Stay updated on industry trends new products and techniques to enhance service offerings.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through excellent communication and personalized service.
- Adhere to salon and spa policies including appointment scheduling inventory management and cash handling.
- Handle customer inquiries and concerns professionally and efficiently ensuring a positive experience for all clients.
- Collaborate with other team members to create a welcoming and harmonious salon environment.
- Participate in continuing education and training to refine and expand beauty skills and knowledge.
- Contribute to marketing and promotional activities to attract new clients and retain existing ones.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and practices to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff.
Required qualifications
- Proven experience as a Beautician or similar role with a portfolio of work demonstrating hair makeup and skincare expertise.
- Proficiency in hair cutting coloring styling and treatment techniques for various hair types and textures.
- Demonstrated skill in makeup application for different occasions skin types and tones.
- Knowledge of skin analysis and effective facial treatments including extraction and product application.
- Experience in providing nail care services including manicures pedicures and nail enhancements following industry standards and trends.
- Understanding of beauty product ingredients usage and recommendation for specific client needs.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to consult and engage effectively with clients.
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment while maintaining a keen eye for detail and quality.
- Knowledge of salon and spa operations including appointment scheduling inventory management and client recordkeeping.
- Flexibility to work on weekends evenings and holidays as per client and salon requirements.
- Certification or training in cosmetology esthetics or a related field is a plus.
- Commitment to maintaining a clean organized and sanitized work environment at all times.
- Passion for staying updated on beauty trends techniques and products to enhance service offerings.
- Understanding and adherence to health safety and sanitation regulations in the beauty industry.
