CNC Machinist Level III

Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints to understand product specifications
• Set up adjust and operate CNC machines
• Perform quality control checks using precision measuring instruments
• Monitor the production process to ensure adherence to quality and safety standards
• Modify CNC programs to enhance efficiency and quality
• Collaborate with engineering and programming teams to optimize machining processes
• Inspect and maintain machine tools and equipment
• Troubleshoot machine and tooling problems to minimize downtime
• Document and record production data and maintenance activities
• Follow safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or apprenticeship preferred
• Proven experience as a CNC machinist with expertise in setting up and operating various CNC machines
• Proficiency in CNC programming and Gcode interpretation
• Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints and engineering drawings
• Strong knowledge of cutting tools speeds and feeds
• Experience in performing precision measurements using micrometers calipers and gauges
• Familiarity with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
• Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Adherence to safety and quality standards in a manufacturing environment
