Job Description
Overview:
The position of MD Emergency Medicine is integral to our healthcare organization leading the emergency medicine department with a focus on providing highquality patient care implementing best practices and ensuring efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical leadership and oversight within the emergency department
- Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance emergency care services
- Supervise and mentor medical staff to ensure quality patient care
- Collaborate with other departments to optimize patient flow and care coordination
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and regulatory compliance
- Provide guidance and expertise on emergency medicine protocols and procedures
- Conduct regular reviews of departmental performance and outcomes
- Coordinate with hospital administration for resource allocation and budget management
- Participate in community outreach and education programs
- Ensure compliance with accreditation and safety standards
Required Qualifications:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from an accredited medical school
- Board certification in Emergency Medicine
- Current valid medical license and DEA registration
- Minimum 5 years of clinical experience in emergency medicine
- Demonstrated leadership experience in a healthcare setting
- Strong understanding of healthcare regulations and compliance
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams
- Proficiency in EMR systems and clinical documentation
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and education
