Job Description

A great opportunity for a Senior Construction Inspector in a growing Michigan firm for their Novi office!



Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for daily inspection/documentation of MDOT construction and/or demolition projects
  • Verify conformance with construction plans and other construction documents
  • Generate daily reports
  • Oversee maintaining traffic operations/traffic control devices
  • Monitor soil erosion/sedimentation control devices
  • Supervise staff (assign tasks/review completed work)
  • Assist project manager with duties related to bridge and road projects
  • Use technical expertise to identify/resolve issues
  • Mentor/train junior inspection staff


Requirements:
  • 5 years of experience with road and/or bridge locally or federally funded projects
  • Supervisory experience
  • Experience with MDOT documentation requirements
  • Completion of various MDOT constructions and/or materials testing training/certification preferred
  • Familiar with all aspects of road and bridge construction


Salary is commensurate with experience.
