Job Description

A leading engineering consulting firm with a long history in the Southeast is looking to add a Senior Structural Engineer to their Charlotte North Carolina team!


Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with clients architects and contractors
  • Review structural documentation
  • Mentor/train junior staff
  • Provide project oversight for design calculations construction document preparation shop drawing/submittal review site reviews
  • Prepare RFI responses
  • Review work of others and confirm QA/QC standards are met


Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering
  • Masters degree in Engineering preferred
  • 2 years of structural engineering experience including structural design experience using different construction materials/structural systems (including steel concrete and masonry design in low to midrise structures)
  • Project management experience required
  • Client management experience preferred
  • Experience using various software (Microsoft Office Bentley (RAM) products RISA EnerCalc Adapt ETABS SAFE SAP Tekla)
  • Working knowledge of Revit preferred



Salary is commensurate with experience.
