Job Description

The Role

The Assistant Facilities Manager is responsible for supporting the Facilities Manager in the daytoday operations and maintenance of buildings grounds and all related Hard and Soft services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Facilities Manager in developing and implementing policies procedures and best practices for facilities management.
  • Monitor facilities systems (HVAC plumbing electrical etc.) and coordinate the work of TFM contractor to address issues and ensure proper functioning.
  • Manage relationships with contractors vendors and suppliers to ensure timely and costeffective completion of projects.
  • Manage the preventive maintenance program including the creation and tracking of work orders maintenance schedules and vendor contracts.
  • Maintain detailed records and documentation related to facilities operations including maintenance logs inventory and project files.
  • Ensure compliance with local building codes industry best practice and regulations.
  • Assist in managing the facilities budget tracking expenses and preparing cost estimates for repairs or upgrades.
  • Oversee emergency repair requests troubleshoot problems and arrange repairs as necessary.
  • Participate in facility planning and design projects providing input on building systems equipment and infrastructure.
  • Implement and monitor energysaving initiatives to reduce operational costs
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations conducting regular inspections and risk assessments.
  • Liaise with security personnel to develop and enforce security protocols.
  • Oversee all Soft services such as Housekeeping landscaping ground maintenance and waste management etc.
  • Oversee all Hard services such as PPM corrective / reactive maintenance etc.
  • Familiarity with sustainability practices and energyefficiency initiatives.

Force for Good:

  • Actively promote and implement ESG initiatives across the compound and drive the adoption of policies and procedures and ensure these are adhered consistently across the compound
  • Ensure that the sustainability ESG agenda is fully embrace. Actively drive initiatives set by the Facilities and Senior Property Manager
  • Be abreast of any new initiatives which could improve ESG performance across the compound.
  • Work with the Savills site team to assist in the planning and smooth delivery of events and community programmes across the compound.

Skills Knowledge and Experience

  • Bachelors degree in a related field such as engineering or facilities management.
  • 35 years of experience in facilities management maintenance or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems maintenance practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Knowledge of local building codes industry best practice and regulations.
  • Proficient in using facilities management software CMMS CAFM and other relevant technologies.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
