Exceptional Students Teacher - Immediate Interviewing

• Ensure the classroom environment is safe inclusive and conducive to learning.
  
• Develop and modifying lesson plans to meet the unique needs of each student.
  
• Provide direct instruction in core academic subjects as well as social and life skills.
  
• Manage classroom behavior and implementing positive behavior support strategies.
  
• Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers to update them on student progress.
  
• Monitor student progress maintaining accurate records and adjusting teaching methods as needed.
  

Requirements

• Previous experience working with children with special needs is preferred.
  
• A Bachelor s or Master s degree in Special Education or a closely related field.
  
• Must hold a valid Illinois teaching certification in Special Education with LBS1 endorsement.
