This is a remote position.
We are seeking an experienced Fractional Human Resources Manager to join our team on a parttime 1099 contract basis. The individual in this role will work remotely and support multiple clients by managing their HR functions. This role requires specific expertise in labor laws in New York and New Jersey. Experience with staffing companies is highly desirable. The HR Manager will be responsible for ensuring compliance advising on HR best practices managing employee relations and supporting recruitment efforts as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Compliance and Policy Management: Develop implement and maintain HR policies and procedures that comply with New York and New Jersey labor laws. Ensure that clients practices are in compliance with federal state and local employment regulations.
- Employee Relations: Manage employee relations issues provide guidance to management on conflict resolution and serve as a trusted advisor to ensure a positive work environment.
- Recruitment and Onboarding: Assist in developing and executing recruitment strategies manage the hiring process and oversee onboarding and training programs for new hires particularly for clients in the event staffing industry.
- Performance Management: Develop and implement performance management processes including performance reviews feedback mechanisms and professional development initiatives.
- HR Strategy: Partner with clients to understand their business needs and develop HR strategies that align with their goals focusing on areas like retention employee engagement and organizational development.
- HR Administration: Manage daytoday HR operations including maintaining employee records handling payroll inquiries and assisting with benefits administration.
- Advisory Role: Act as a consultant to senior management on various HRrelated topics such as employee relations policy development and organizational development.
- Compliance Audits: Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations in New York and New Jersey particularly for staffing companies.
Requirements
- Bachelor s degree in Human Resources Business Administration or a related field. A Master s degree or HR certification (e.g. SHRMCP SHRMSCP PHR SPHR) is a plus.
- Minimum of 57 years of experience in Human Resources with specific experience in managing HR functions for New York and New Jersey.
- Demonstrated experience in the staffing industry or in managing HR for staffing companies is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations in New York and New Jersey with a proven track record of ensuring compliance.
- Excellent communication interpersonal and problemsolving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple clients with varying needs.
- Experience with HR software and tools as well as remote collaboration platforms.
