Job Description

Adelphi is seeking Physical Therapists to perform duties for a school in Louisville Kentucky. The PT will provide support for physical development mobility and overall physical needs of students that are blind or have low vision. Valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of Kentucky.     Previous experience working as a Physical Therapist in an educational setting or with schoolaged children is advantageous.     Experience in working with K12 students.     Experience writing Individualized Education Plan (IEP)     Experience working with students with complex needs including deaf/ blindness Responsibilities:     Provide screenings evaluations written reports progress monitoring Medicaid documentation direct services.     Attend Individualized Education Plan (IEP) meetings as necessary for students.     Support the physical development mobility and overall physical needs of students that are blind or have low vision.     Enhance students motor skills posture balance and spatial awareness which are crucial for navigating their environment and participating in daily activities.     Help students develop strength coordination and confidence enabling them to engage more fully in academic and social experiences


Responsibilities: Provide screenings, evaluations, written reports, progress monitoring, Medicaid documentation, direct services. Attend Individualized Education Plan (IEP) meetings as necessary for students. Support the physical development, mobility and over-all physical needs of students that are blind or have low vision. Enhance students' motor skills, posture, balance, and spatial awareness, which are crucial for navigating their environment and participating in daily activities. Help students develop strength, coordination, and confidence, enabling them to engage more fully in academic and social experiences
