Position: Materials Planner
The Materials Planner plays a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless flow of materials within the supply chain supporting production efficiency while controlling costs. This dynamic position is critical to maintaining optimal inventory levels and guaranteeing that essential materials are available exactly when needed to meet production demands.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning: Develop and execute material plans to support uninterrupted production processes ensuring justintime availability of all required resources.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain appropriate inventory levels balancing stock availability with costefficiency to minimize excess inventory.
- Supplier Coordination: Manage supplier relationships place orders and ensure ontime delivery of materials while tracking supplier performance for continuous improvement.
- Collaboration: Partner closely with procurement production and logistics teams to optimize supply chain operations and resolve potential bottlenecks before they impact production.
- DataDriven Insights: Leverage MRP/ERP systems (e.g. SAP Oracle) to analyze material requirements forecast future needs and generate actionable insights for process improvements.
Required Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management Business Administration or a related field.
- Professional Experience: 35 years of handson experience in materials planning inventory management or broader supply chain functions.
- ERP Expertise: Proficiency in MRP/ERP systems particularly SAP or Oracle with a demonstrated ability to manage complex supply chains.
- Analytical Skills: Strong problemsolving and analytical skills capable of interpreting data to make informed decisions.
- Communication & Negotiation: Excellent communication and negotiation skills with a proven ability to work crossfunctionally within teams.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous organizational skills with an eye for detail ensuring accuracy in inventory tracking and material planning.
- Industry Experience: Previous experience in fastpaced industries particularly FMCG is a strong advantage.
- Technology Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite particularly Excel Word and PowerPoint for effective reporting and presentations.
