Job Description
Overview
Key responsibilities
- Teaching dance techniques including ballet modern jazz and other styles
- Choreographing and directing dance performances
- Providing constructive feedback to students to enhance their skills
- Organizing and leading dance rehearsals and classes.
- Managing administrative tasks related to dance programs and events
- Engaging in professional development and staying current with dance trends
- Participating in student evaluations and progress assessments
- Contributing to the promotion and visibility of the dance program
Required qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Dance Performing Arts or related field
- Professional dance experience or certification in specific dance styles
- Proven ability to choreograph and stage dance performances
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong musicality and rhythm interpretation abilities
- Knowledge of dance history theory and terminology
- Familiarity with dancerelated technology and software
- Understanding of anatomy and kinesiology as it relates to dance
- Ability to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
