Job Description
business development executive (BDE) is a key member of a companys business development department who helps grow the business by identifying opportunities and developing strategies. Some of their responsibilities include:
Generating leads: BDEs are responsible for generating leads and new business opportunities.
Building relationships: BDEs build and maintain relationships with customers understanding their needs and recommending solutions.
Negotiating contracts: BDEs negotiate contracts with clients to help them move down the sales funnel.
Implementing sales strategies: BDEs implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth.
Conducting market research: BDEs research market trends and competitors to stay up to date with the industry.
Brainstorming ideas: BDEs brainstorm ideas for new products or services.
Some qualifications for a BDE include:
A bachelors degree in business marketing finance or similar field
Experience in sales business development or a similar role
Experience with CRM software
Proficiency in MS Office
Excellent multitasking skills
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to work under pressure
Strong customer service skills
meeting with clients virtually or during sales visits. demonstrating and presenting products. establishing new business. maintaining accurate records. attending trade exhibitions, conferences and meetings. reviewing sales performance. negotiating contracts and packages.
