Job Description
Calling all Middle School CoTeachers to join our dynamic teaching team.
This position involves working closely with a general education teacher to provide instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs in an inclusive classroom setting. The ideal candidate will be passionate about student growth skilled in differentiated instruction and dedicated to fostering a positive learning environment for all students.
Position Highlights:
- Collaboration & Communication:Participate in coplanning sessions parentteacher conferences and IEP meetings.
- Assessment & Data: Assist in assessing student progress through formative and summative assessments.
- Classroom Management & Support: Support students during instructional time helping to scaffold learning for students who may need additional assistance.
- CoPlanning & Instruction: Share responsibility for classroom instruction including wholegroup teaching smallgroup instruction and oneonone support.
Requirements
- Valid Illinois Teaching Certification
- Familiarity with differentiated instruction and classroom management techniques
- A Bachelors degree in Education or a related field is required (Master s degree are preferred)
- Experience working in a classroom setting ideally in an inclusive or coteaching environment
