Power BI Developer
Overview:
The Power BI Developer plays a crucial role in the organization by leveraging their expertise in data analytics visualization and reporting to turn raw data into actionable insights. They are responsible for creating interactive dashboards developing data models and ensuring that datadriven decisions are made efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing and developing Power BI dashboards and reports
- Creating and maintaining data models
- Collaborating with stakeholders to understand data requirements
- Optimizing Power BI queries for improved performance
- Implementing security and data governance measures
- Automating data refresh processes
- Conducting performance tuning
- Providing technical support and training to end users
- Staying updated with Power BI best practices and new features
- Creating and maintaining Power BI documentation
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field
- Proven experience in Power BI development and implementation
- Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server and SQL querying
- Strong understanding of DAX (Data Analysis Expressions)
- Experience in designing and developing interactive dashboards and reports
- Knowledge of data visualization best practices
- Ability to interpret and communicate complex data effectively
- Experience in dashboard design and user interface principles
- Understanding of data warehousing concepts
- Excellent problemsolving and analytical skills
- Certification in Power BI is a plus
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
- Attention to detail and a qualityoriented mindset
