Backend Developer

Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Backend Web Developer to join our team. As the sole developer on our internal team you will play a critical role in supporting both our internal applications and a variety of client projects managed by our marketing agency. You will also collaborate with external vendors who provide additional development support. This is an excellent opportunity to work on diverse projects including building and maintaining high performance scalable and secure web applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design develop and maintain robust backend services and APIs.
• Build and manage integrations with thirdparty platforms including Shopify GoHighLevel and HubSpot.
• Develop and maintain MySQL databases ensuring data integrity and performance optimization.
• Create and manage custom admin areas within WordPress and other platforms.
• Implement and maintain strong web security practices across all applications.
• Work on enhancing and supporting existing applications both for internal use and for client projects.
• Collaborate with external development vendors to ensure seamless integration and project delivery.
• Participate in DevOps tasks including deployment and management on platforms like Heroku and Digital Ocean.
• Develop and maintain workflows and automation processes.

Requirements:

• Strong proficiency in backend development using PHP and MySQL.
• Experience with APIs web services and integrations with thirdparty platforms.
• Solid understanding of web security principles and best practices.
• Experience with Shopify and WordPress development.
• Ability to create and manage admin areas within web applications.
• Familiarity with GoHighLevel and HubSpot is a plus.
• Experience with deployment and management on Heroku Digital Ocean Siteground
• WPengine or similar platforms.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices.
• Familiarity with frontend technologies (HTML CSS JavaScript).
• Strong problemsolving skills and ability to work independently while coordinating with external vendors.
• Medium English proficiency

Nice to Have:

• Experience with modern frontend frameworks (React Vue.js etc.).
• Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker Kubernetes).
