The Role: We are seeking a Consultant/Specialist - General Medicine/Acute Care to join a dedicated team in a regional coastal location.
Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable: Experience in acute stroke care including thrombolysis.
Experience or interest in intermediate care models including hospital avoidance programs would also be beneficial.

The Department of General Medicine is staffed with a diverse team of specialists, as well as Advanced Trainees in General and Acute Care Medicine and Basic Physician Trainees. A variety of workplace settings are available, including acute medicine; inpatient medical wards; outpatient clinics; stroke; and intermediate care.
The Hospital: A General Public Hospital, 300 beds, that provides acute care facilities, this is an accredited teaching hospital that has a close partnership with the University Clinical School and the School of Nursing and Midwifery.

Eligibility: Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:
Holds specialist registration; or
Is a registered Medical Practitioner who is an International Medical Graduate (IMG) who is on the specialist pathway; or
Is a registered Medical Practitioner who is an International Medical Graduate (IMG) who has a recognised overseas specialist qualification and is assessed as having sufficient experience in the speciality.
