Job Summary:

The School Counselor provides guidance and support to students in their academic career and personal development. This role involves working collaboratively with teachers parents and administrators to ensure students wellbeing and academic success. The School Counselor is responsible for addressing students emotional and social needs developing intervention strategies and creating a supportive environment conducive to learning.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Counseling and Support:
   

   • Provide individual and group counseling to students addressing academic emotional and social issues.
     

2. Academic Guidance:
   

   • Help students set and achieve academic goals.
     
   • Assist with course selection and educational planning.
     
   • Provide support for students facing academic challenges or learning difficulties.
     

3. Career Development:
   

   • Guide students in exploring career options and setting career goals.
     
   • Facilitate career exploration activities and workshops.
     

4. Collaboration and Communication:
   

   • Work closely with teachers administrators and parents to support students needs.
     
   • Participate in school meetings and contribute to the development of school policies and programs
     

Qualifications:

• Graduation & Master s degree in School Counseling Psychology Social Work or a related field.
  
• Proven experience in a school counseling role or related field preferred.
  
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  
• Knowledge of child development educational theory and mental health issues.
