Responsible for performing inspections of purchased and/or inhouse machined parts units materials equipment all level assemblies and quality control programs to specifications. Interprets manufacturing drawings diagrams BOM s specifications and lists to approve or reject units test setups or systems of in process and final assemblies. Maintains support documentation and performs sampling and testing of incoming components raw materials and build of assemblies. Reviews and reports performance data. Ensures raw materials inprocess and finished products meet company and test standards. Determines or assists in determining methods and procedures necessary for inspection.
Essential Functions:
- Perform inspections of components to ensure compliance to drawings customer specifications and workmanship standards.
- Ability of using precision measurement instruments such as a caliper micrometer and applicable gages.
- Visual inspection for workmanship and print compliance using a microscope.
- Maintain inspection logs and records.
Requirements
- Knowledge and understanding of different materials used in manufacturing (aluminum brass copper etc.).
- Knowledge and understanding of tolerances on blueprint drawings.
- Familiar with industry standards such as Mil Specs.
