Ticket Seller
A Ticket Seller the Durham Performing Arts Center plays a crucial role in ensuring a positive experience for our guests. As the first point of contact you ll provide accurate event information assist patrons with ticket sales and exchanges and guide customers through our website and mobile ticketing applications. This position requires familiarity with Archtics and other Ticketmaster applications. You ll collaborate with various departments to deliver Red Carpet Customer Service .
o Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to guests answering inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
o Eye for Detail: Ensure accurate ticket issuance and payment processing during Broadway season shows comedy events and concerts.
o Guidance: Accurately guide guests through the website and Ticketmaster applications for ticket purchases and information.
o Season Tickets: Assist current season ticket holders navigate benefits exchanges new season member acquisition and processing season ticket orders efficiently.
o Outreach: Proactively engage with season ticket holders through cold calling to facilitate renewals and payment plans.
o Ticket Issuance: Efficiently issue tickets to audience members both for Broadway season packages and single ticket sales.
o Sales Management: Handle incoming tickets sales via phone and in person.
o Cash Handling: Manage cash and credit card transactions responsibly and accurately.
o Project Assistance: Assist with various Ticket Center projects as directed.
What you bring:
o Technology: While not mandatory familiarity with ticketing systems and technology is appreciated.
o Multitasking: Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fastpaced environment.
o Interpersonal Skills: Bring excellent communication and interpersonal skills to provide exceptional customer service.
o Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
o Cash Handling Experience: Previous experience handling money is essential.
o Problem Solving: Effective problemsolving skills to address customer concerns.
o Experience: 0 1 years of customer service experience.
o Education: High School Diploma or its equivalent.
Ability to look at a computer screen for extended periods of time.
Comfort with frequent standing and prolonged sitting.
Must be able to see and communicate through speech and listening.
