Job Description:
The ServiceNow Architect is responsible for leading the design and implementation of enterprisewide ServiceNow solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of the ServiceNow platform including its core capabilities App Engine Studio and specialized solutions such as Sourcing & Procurement Ops and Financial Services Operations. The architect will work closely with key business stakeholders IT teams and ServiceNow developers to ensure that the ServiceNow implementations align with business goals and IT standards enhancing operational efficiencies and delivering exceptional value.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning and Consultation:
- Serve as the primary ServiceNow strategy advisor to business and IT leadership.
- Assess business requirements and translate them into effective ServiceNow solutions.
- Lead architectural discussions influencing decisions regarding ServiceNow implementations.
- Design and Implementation:
- Design scalable and sustainable ServiceNow architectures including integration with other enterprise systems.
- Oversee the development and customization of ServiceNow applications using App Engine Studio and other development tools.
- Ensure the successful implementation of specialized solutions like Sourcing & Procurement Ops and Financial Services Operations tailoring them to meet specific business needs.
- Governance and Best Practices:
- Develop and enforce ServiceNow best practices and governance frameworks.
- Ensure solutions are built for performance reliability and scalability.
- Manage the ServiceNow upgrade process ensuring compatibility and minimal disruption.
- Collaboration and Leadership:
- Lead crossfunctional teams in the design development and deployment of ServiceNow solutions.
- Facilitate collaboration between stakeholders developers and IT operations teams.
- Mentor and develop team members enhancing their ServiceNow capabilities.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Stay abreast of ServiceNow product updates industry trends and emerging technologies.
- Recommend and implement improvements to existing ServiceNow solutions.
- Drive innovation by exploring new ServiceNow modules and capabilities.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Technical Expertise:
- Extensive experience with ServiceNows core platform and development tools especially App Engine Studio.
- Deep knowledge of ServiceNow solutions like Sourcing & Procurement Ops and Financial Services Operations Customer Service Management Legal Services Delivery.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (JavaScript HTML CSS) and integration technologies (REST SOAP).
- Architectural Acumen:
- Strong ability to design scalable highperforming ServiceNow architectures.
- Experience with ServiceNow application customization and configuration.
- Strategic Thinking:
- Ability to align ServiceNow solutions with business goals and IT strategies.
- Excellent problemsolving and decisionmaking skills.
- Leadership and Collaboration:
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to lead crossfunctional teams.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience & Educational Background:
- A bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field.
- Certifications in ServiceNow System Administration Application Development and specific solutions areas are highly beneficial.
- At least 10 years of experience in ServiceNow platform solutions.
Other Preferred Skills
- Previous leadership role in an IT focused consulting services company
- Project Management experience
- Strong understanding of User Experience (UX) concepts as it relates to applications.
- Certified in agile framework and associated scrum methodology.
- Low Code / No Code Development experience in other technologies like Appian Mendix Out Systems etc.
