Founded by veterans from creative industries Mago is not just changing how videos look but how theyre made. Our software streamlines simplifies and accelerates nonrealistic production workflows dramatically cutting costs for stylized content in animation film game cinematics advertising and more.
Mago is currently looking for a talented Senior Backend Developer to join our team and help build the foundation of our innovative video stylization / AI rendering technology.
Tasks
What Youll Do
- Develop and maintain REST APIs to interface Magos app and AI render engine with external platforms
- Optimize GPU workloads for cost efficiency
- Maintain our workflow orchestrator and create workflow definitions for AI rendering processes
- Write unit integration and endtoend tests
- Manage and update our Kubernetes clusters writing specs for various workloads
- Collaborate with frontend and ML teams to integrate new features into video processing pipelines
- Write clean readable and welldocumented code improving our existing codebase
Requirements
What Were Looking For
- 5 years of experience as a backend engineer
- Strong proficiency in Python
- Strong proficiency in OpenAPI Docker Git SQL and agile workflows
- Experience with Kubernetes AWS and monitoring tools (Grafana Prometheus)
- Familiarity with GPU technologies (CUDA) and video processing
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with frontend development (React TypeScript)
- Familiarity with video editing software and 3D animation tools
- Knowledge of Stable Diffusion and AIdriven image/video generation
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic startup environment with changing requirements
