About the role
The Real Estate Investment Analyst will be responsible for conducting indepth market research financial analysis and due diligence to support Alphaoaks real estate investment decisions. The analyst will work closely with the investment team to evaluate potential investment opportunities develop financial models and prepare detailed reports for stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Develop and update real estate investment models and other tools for investment/portfolio analysis (creation of inhouse standard templates for cash flow modeling)
- Draft custom investment memos that involve CIO updates and/or recommendations
- Monitor the performance of existing investments and identify potential areas of concern.
- Conduct custom research on real estate markets strategies and opportunities.
- Production of articulate marketing material such as teasers. This will include elements of research and information collation.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree required; major in finance economics or business preferred
- CFA or CAIA charter holder (or enrolee) a plus
- At least 3 years of relevant experience required with a (direct) real estate investment firm valuation firm or another financial services provider
- Sound understanding of economic and investment theory and practices
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills
- Professional and effective writing presentation and communication skills
IT SKILLS
- Advanced Excel/VBA skills (a must)
- Microsoft PPT and portfolio/investment management software (eg: ARGUS).
LANGUAGE SKILLS
- English Excellent command is a (musthave)
- Arabic or French (good to have)
OTHER SKILLS
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately under time pressure and to meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently and to proactively seek new responsibilities
