We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Islington to assist with the appointment of a Private Housing Group Manager on a 3month contract likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: 458.19 600.00 per Day
Responsibilities:
- Manage a team responsible for delivering an efficient and effective private Housing Service through enforcement licensing advice and promotion.
- Coordinate the work of the team including allocating work devising and implement projects and managing performance to meet organisational aims and objectives.
- Lead the future shape and direction the Team through the service planning process devise and deliver the teams service plan and monitor and report on team performance against the plan.
- Ensure that service requests including complaints applications appeals & contraventions are dealt with in a timely and customer focussed manner.
- Provide expert guidance leadership and direction in relation to complex investigations acting as the Senior Investigating Officer as appropriate directing resources evaluating evidence and presenting expert evidence in court or in tribunals.
Qualifications:
- Hold an appropriate Chartered Institute of Environmental Health approved academic qualification an MSc or BSc (Hons) in Environmental Health or equivalent degree / or equivalent vocational qualification in a related field.
- Evidence of continuing professional / managerial development.
- Extensive experience of all aspects of private sector housing work including the legal and technical aspects of the application of housing law and property licensing to standards and the regulation of accommodation and the rights and responsibilities of owners and occupiers.
