Digital Forensics Investigator

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Thurrock to assist with the appointment of a Digital Forensics Investigator on a 3month contract highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: 23.47 30.04 per Hour

Responsibilities:

• To investigate allegations of fraud or other irregularity alleged to have been committed against the council or its partners including jointly with other agencies.
• To maintain the highest level of integrity and performance in delivering services to the council and partners.
• To have a broad knowledge of employment law in relation to internal investigations and disciplinary action.
• To attend search and seizure operations executed by the department against criminals anywhere in the UK providing expert advice on the correct identification and seizure of computer related material.
• To undertake examinations of electronic material seized in criminal investigations this may include computers mobile phones and other devices.

Requirements:

• Experience in using relevant tools to conduct forensic analysis of computers and mobile phones such as EnCase AXIOM FTK XWays NUIX Paraben Cellebrite or XRY.
• Good knowledge of IT systems and terminology able to explain their use to persons with little or no experience.
• Relevant law enforcement related accreditation in investigations such as ACFS BITS or PIP2 (Detective Foundation/Advanced) and experience.
