Were hiring a Structural Welder to fabricate and install steel pipes and fittings working closely with engineers to complete welding projects.

What youll be doing:

• Perform structural welding projects in the facility fabricating and installing steel pipes and fittings.
• Collaborate with a team of engineers and other functions within the facility.
• Interpret mechanical drawings schematics and diagrams for welding tasks.
• Weld components in flat vertical or overhead positions using manual or semiautomatic equipment.
• Ignite torches start power supplies and strike arcs to complete welding circuits.
• Detect and report faulty equipment operation or defective materials.
• Clamp hold tackweld heatbend grind or bolt components to achieve required configurations.
• Monitor welding processes to prevent material distortion warping or overheating.
• Operate hand and power tools common to the welding trade.
• Adjust welding machines for proper settings and interpret welding specifications.

MustHave Qualifications:

• Proficient in structural welding and familiar with steel fabrication and installation.
• Ability to interpret and work from mechanical drawings schematics and diagrams.
• Skilled in using manual or semiautomatic welding equipment and tools common to the welding trade.
• Knowledge of A.S.M.E. welding standards and the ability to adjust machines to meet these requirements.
• Physically capable of working in various positions and environments with temperature extremes.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to detect and report equipment or material issues.
