Key Objectives
- Take full responsibility for reservoir engineering across assigned fields.
- Develop accurate descriptions of reservoir systems for clastic depositional facies in all assigned subsurface assets and projects.
- Conduct detailed evaluations of reserves and fluid distributions using petrophysical geological and seismic data.
- Define core and PVT analysis programmes for dynamic reservoir properties and integrate them into simulation models.
- Build fully integrated reservoir simulation models with advanced geological and simulation techniques (e.g. Petrel Eclipse tNavigator Intersect).
- Create well production and deliverability profiles for different production scenarios using standard analysis software (GAP/PROSPER/MBAL).
- Develop complex simulation models and perform history matching to predict reservoir behaviour optimise production and implement IOR/EOR strategies.
- Maintain a comprehensive technical database of reservoir properties performance data FDPs FFRs history matching and simulation results.
- Support management with progress reports project status updates reserves reviews and development options.
- Mentor and train junior engineers in technical skills and knowledge development.
Accountability
- Recommend improvements in field development and reservoir management to senior management.
- Develop integrated reservoir inflow and tubing performance relationships for oil and gas reservoirs.
- Create well production and deliverability profiles for various field scenarios using standard analysis software and network models.
- Build production forecasts for use in economic models.
- Address all technical challenges related to reservoir and petroleum engineering ensuring accurate characterisation of reservoir rock and fluid systems.
- Provide technical oversight and input for the reservoir engineering sections of FDP and/or FFR milestone reviews and submissions.
- Oversee the reserves evaluation process on a monthly quarterly and annual basis for Corporate and Petronas.
- Collaborate with drilling geology production engineering planning and commercial disciplines to ensure comprehensive data integration into reservoir asset evaluations.
- Support management with regular progress reports project status updates reserves reviews and development options.
- Develop and implement best practices in core Reservoir Engineering skills.
Qualifications
- Degree or masters in petroleum engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience including extensive experience in exploration and production or servicerelated roles focusing on field development reserves evaluation simulation modelling and development engineering.
- Proven ability to apply reservoir engineering principles to optimise reserves recovery factors and production strategies in oil and gas reservoirs.
- Experienced in waterflood management and the development of reservoir management plans.
- Strong communication skills with experience working in a multinational environment.
- Proficient in computing tools such as Eclipse 100 Eclipse Office TNav Petrel Saphir GAP Prosper MBAL and Microsoft Office.
- Selfmotivated with the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated skills in negotiation organisation communication and interpersonal relations.
