Job Description
CT Technologist
Location: Sacramento CA 95819
Shift: 4 by 10 schedule 8PM start MTh required call
Employment Type: Contract
The primary responsibility of a CT Technologist is to ensure physicians and other members of a patients care team receive highquality images they can use to make diagnoses or assess the success of treatments.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Interpreting the orders provided by the physician or other prescribing medical professional
- Explaining what will happen during the CT scan to patients
- Positioning patients properly to take the necessary images
- Administering IVs that contain contrast dyes to enhance imaging
- Examining images to ensure theyre usable
- Updating patient medical information
- Cleaning and maintaining CT scan equipment
- Keeping inventory of CT scan supplies and making orders for supply restocks as required
Qualifications:
Experience: 2years of recent hospital/acute experience
License/Certifications: BLS (under American Heart Association) Certified Radiologic Technologist ARRT (R) Certified CT Technologist ARRT (CT) California Rad Tech license Fluoro
