The Wholesale Manager will lead and oversee the wholesale and retail business operations ensuring the development and implementation of effective sales strategies and market expansion plans. This role requires a deep understanding of the market structure competitive landscape and consumption patterns within the assigned region. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in sales management channel planning and retailer performance optimization particularly within the luxury fashion watch or cosmetic industries.

Key Accountabilities

  1. Channel Planning

    • Conduct thorough market and channel research to gather and analyze information on industry channels and major competitors.
    • Provide strategic recommendations for channel expansion and improvement based on collected data.
    • Manage and maintain comprehensive channel information gaining insights into market structure consumption capacity and competitive dynamics.
    • Develop channel market strategies conduct competitor analysis and plan channel expansions.
  2. Sales Management

    • Achieve sales turnover targets in both units and value as outlined in the annual Business Plan.
    • Conduct timely business reviews with retailers closely monitoring business progress.
    • Guide retailers in placing orders for new and core products.
    • Review and optimize the stock structure of retailers to enhance sales performance.
  3. Store Performance Management

    • Enhance store performance and capabilities ensuring adherence to brand operation SOPs visual merchandising (VM) and service standards.
    • Ensure the timely launch of new products providing training and guidance to improve sellthrough rates.
    • Regularly visit stores to identify opportunities for productivity improvements.
  4. Distribution and Retailer Management

    • Develop and qualify new retailers and oversee store openings based on company requirements.
    • Negotiate and sign contracts for channel cooperation.
    • Leverage retailer resources for instore events and exposure opportunities.
    • Ensure compliance with company guidelines and regulatory requirements.
    • Maintain strong relationships with channel customers through regular visits and communication.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree or above.
  • Over 10 years of relevant wholesale experience preferably within international companies in jewelry industries.
  • Experience in the jewelry or luxury fashion industry is highly preferred. Besides watch luxury fashion or cosmetic industries also considered.
  • Familiarity with the wholesale market in the Middle East region.
  • Fluency in English and French.
  • Strong sales acumen negotiation skills and retailer management capabilities.
  • Logical thinking with excellent sales planning and analytical skills.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills. Proficiency in data analysis.
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Willingness to travel frequently.
