Job Description

Company Overview: Our client is a leading OEM of custom machinery which offer exceptional production rates and product quality. For more than 40 years this manufacturer has built a reputation within the industry with more than 2000 machines in service worldwide.

Position Overview:
As a mechanical engineer you will design and create mechanical and electromechanical products and systems using 3D CAD software. In addition you will support the Operations and Sales Teams by producing working drawings developing manufacturing processes and ensuring product quality. On an ongoing basis you will collaborate with the Engineering Manager and leverage senior team support for training and development.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design and model mechanical and electromechanical products using 3D CAD software.
  • Produce detailed working drawings for the manufacturing departments.
  • Create material lists related to machine and component designs.
  • Modify and revise designs to address operating deficiencies and reduce production issues.
  • Confirm system and product capabilities through feasibility studies and testing methods.
  • Develop products by studying customer requirements and designing appropriate solutions.
  • Design and modify equipment for fabricating building assembling and installing components.
  • Ensure product quality by designing and conducting testing methods and confirming fabrication assembly and installation processes.
  • Provide engineering support by answering technical questions and fulfilling requests.
  • Maintain compliance with government regulations to uphold product and company reputation.
  • Communicate technical knowledge clearly and effectively.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field preferred.
  • Experience:
    • Experience with AutoCAD Autodesk Inventor and Microsoft Office.
    • Background in mechanical engineering with knowledge of CAD systems.
  • Skills:
    • Strong numerical and mathematical abilities.
    • Attention to detail and effective time management.
    • Good verbal communication skills and the ability to work well with others.
    • Critical thinking and problemsolving skills.
