CAD Draft Person

Summary/Objective

The CAD Draft Person will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and plans using ComputerAided Design (CAD) software. This role involves working closely with project managers supervisors and designers to translate conceptual designs into precise accurate and detailed drawings that meet industry standards and project requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of engineering principles excellent attention to detail and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Develop and prepare detailed technical drawings and plans based on specifications and calculations provided by engineers or designers.

Collaborate with project teams to ensure drawings are accurate comprehensive and adhere to project timelines. Modify and revise drawings as necessary based on client feedback project scope changes or design alterations. Ensure compliance with industry standards codes and regulations.

Maintain and organize a library of drawings and project documentation.

Maintain a professional attitude and appearance at all times

Responsible to identify unsafe/hazardous conditions for self other employees customers and the general public.

Other Duties: Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by management to meet the needs of the organization.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Relevant certifications or degree in drafting engineering technology or related field.

Possess interpersonal communication and organizational skills

Strong understanding of engineering architectural or construction principles.

Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities

Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fastpaced environment & perform under pressure Excellent attention to detail and problemsolving skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Word Excel and PowerPoint)

Strong decisionmaking skills

Required Education and Experience

Must be proficient in AutoCAD Map3D dwg and shp files.

High school diploma technical school or equivalent industry experience required.

Preferred Education and Experience

Previous experience in OSP preferred

Project coordination experience

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

Ability to pass a criminal background screen and driver record check

Preemployment drug test

This position typically requires:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Occasional/Potential site visits may require walking standing and exposure to outdoor conditions.

Sedentary Work: The role may require lifting and moving items up to 50 pounds standing/sitting for extended periods and performing draft printing.

Work Environment

Work is performed primarily in an office setting with conditions noise and hazards related to it.

Tools/Equipment

This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers phones printers photocopiers and filing cabinets.

Travel

This position is expected to incur minimal travel time.
