Job Description
- NetBackup Installation & configuration (L3)
- Perform regular system maintenance; Incident solving; Change implementation; Patch management; Analyze/solve performance and security issues Complex backup scheduling maintenance also includes helping solve complex problems related to operating system; databases; middleware or applications teams
- Handson experience on Veritas Appliances and Data Domain appliances
- Configuration and troubleshooting of SAN Client backup (Fiber Transport)
- Clear understanding on SLP and Vault
- Upgrading and patching the Backup servers
- Oracle/SQL/ESX/NDMP Integration with Netbackup
- Managing Internal Database of NetBackup
- Should also have good understanding on TCP/IP concepts
- Need to have clear understanding on SAN Infrastructure and Architecture
- Strong experience on Linux and scripting (preferably: shell python puppet)
- Understanding of functional requirements and translation of business requirements into technical specifications
