Job Description

Job Overview:The Electrical Operations Mechanic will be responsible for maintaining the steady and compliant operation of advanced automated equipment driving continuous improvement through electrical/PLC technology. The role involves work on electronics electrical control systems server and process control hydraulics/pneumatics and basic mechanical tasks.Key Responsibilities:Maintain and troubleshoot various types of filling and packaging equipment focusing on their electromechanical aspects.Work with programmable logic controllers (PLC) operator interfaces variable frequency drives servomotors and encoders.Perform basic electrical troubleshooting and repair tasks such as replacing starters fuses relays wire blocks wiring breakers etc.Conduct preventive maintenance on electrical and safety systems.Diagnose and resolve electrical issues on equipment with or without blueprints and provide written methods of operation and control for electronic systems.Analyze and interpret downtime and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) data to design and implement improvements.Maintain productive working relationships within the production team.Interpret complex electrical drawings and correlate them with actual equipment/circuit layouts; inspect electrical control systems to trace circuitry and identify potential problems.Ensure the equipments validated state is maintained directly impacting product quality.Order correct repair parts for machines and assist maintenance personnel in troubleshooting efforts.Strictly adhere to cGMPs PPGs regulatory and safety standards and procedures to ensure product quality and employee safety.Maintain a clean and orderly work area according to PPGs and 5S principles.Ensure all machine guards interlocks and safety devices are properly installed and functional; follow established lockout procedures during equipment maintenance.Work day or night shifts as required independently or within workgroups.Qualifications:High School Diploma/GED.Virginia State Journeymans card / State certification or documented completion of training on NEC (National Electrical Code).Demonstrable working knowledge of mechanical/electrical principles and concepts.
