Job Title: Data Platform Administrator (Collibra & Big Data)
Location: HolmdelNJ or BethelhemPA

Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Data Platform Administrator with a primary focus on the Collibra Data Governance platform. The ideal candidate will also have a foundational understanding of big data platforms like Databricks platform automation using Python and APIs serverside experience with Linux OS and a solid grasp of AWS fundamentals. This role will involve administering and optimizing our data governance tools supporting big data platforms and automating processes to enhance efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Platform Administration & Support:
- Collibra Platform:
- Administer and maintain the Collibra Data Governance platform & Data quality including user management rolebased access control and platform optimization.
- Configure and manage Collibra modules workflows data lineage and business glossaries.
- Collaborate with data stewards data owners and IT teams to ensure data governance policies and standards are effectively implemented.
- Big Data Platform (Databricks):
- Provide limited support and administration for Databricks assisting with basic configuration monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Work with data engineers to facilitate data integration and ETL processes within Databricks.
Platform Automation:
- Python & APIs:
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python to streamline data governance processes and platform administration tasks.
- Integrate Collibra with other enterprise systems and tools using APIs for seamless data flow and process automation.
ServerSide & Cloud Administration:
- Linux OS:
- Perform basic serverside activities on Linuxbased systems ensuring the smooth operation of data platforms.
- Manage server configurations monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues.
- AWS Fundamentals:
- Support cloudbased data governance and big data platforms leveraging AWS services.
- Assist with AWS infrastructure management including EC2 instances S3 storage and networking configurations.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement:
- Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Work closely with data governance IT and data engineering teams to understand requirements gather feedback and continuously improve platform performance and user experience.
- Provide technical support and training to users on the Collibra platform and related tools.
- Continuous Learning:
- Stay current with Collibra updates big data technologies automation tools and cloud services.
- Recommend and implement best practices for data governance automation and platform management.
Education:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology Data Management or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered.
Technical Skills:
- Strong proficiency in Collibra platform administration and configuration.
- Python programming for automation and API integration.
- Familiarity with big data tools particularly Databricks.
- Linux experience and AWS cloud management skills.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent problemsolving abilities and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
Requirements
Experience:
- Collibra:
- Minimum of 23 years of experience in administering the Collibra Data Governance platform.
- Strong understanding of data governance principles data lineage and metadata management.
- Big Data Platforms (Databricks):
- Foundational experience with big data platforms particularly Databricks is required.
- Platform Automation:
- Proficiency in Python for scripting and automation purposes.
- Experience with APIs for system integration and process automation.
- ServerSide & Cloud:
- Handson experience with Linux OS for serverside administration.
- Basic knowledge of AWS cloud services and infrastructure management.
