Cloud Security Engineer

Job Description:

As a Cloud Security Engineer you will be responsible for designing implementing and managing the security of cloudbased systems and infrastructure. You will work closely with the IT and development teams to develop security solutions monitor cloud environments and respond to security incidents. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cloud security a deep understanding of security best practices and the ability to stay ahead of emerging threats.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement cloud security architectures ensuring the protection of data and applications across cloud platforms (AWS Azure Google Cloud etc.).
• Develop and enforce security policies procedures and standards to ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
• Monitor cloud environments for security vulnerabilities and threats utilizing security tools and technologies.
• Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability assessments to identify potential security risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Manage cloud security configurations including identity and access management (IAM) encryption network security and security monitoring.
• Respond to security incidents and breaches leading investigations and coordinating with other teams to resolve issues.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to integrate security into DevOps practices (DevSecOps).
• Stay current with the latest cloud security trends technologies and threats and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Assist in the preparation of security documentation including security policies incident response plans and compliance reports.
• Provide guidance and support to other team members on cloud security best practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
• Relevant certifications (e.g. CISSP CCSP AWS Certified Security) are a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in information security with at least 3 years focused on cloud security.
• Extensive experience with cloud platforms such as AWS Azure or Google Cloud and their security features.
• Strong knowledge of cloud security frameworks encryption identity and access management and network security.
• Experience with security tools and technologies such as SIEM IDS/IPS vulnerability scanners and firewalls.
• Proficient in scripting and automation tools (Python Terraform etc.) for security tasks.
• Solid understanding of compliance standards and regulations such as GDPR HIPAA and SOC 2.
• Excellent problemsolving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fastpaced environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with crossfunctional teams.
• Experience in a DevSecOps environment is highly desirable.
