Job Description

Job Title: Director of People Services

Location: HOT SPRINGS AR 71901

Salary: $82000 $115000 (depending on experience)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Director of People Services to lead our Human Resources team in Hot Springs AR. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR management with deep expertise in coworker relations and a thorough understanding of HR laws and regulations. This role is essential in ensuring that HR strategies align with organizational goals while fostering a positive and compliant workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of HR policies procedures and programs that support the organizations goals and foster a positive workplace culture.
  • Manage all aspects of coworker relations including conflict resolution performance management and disciplinary actions.
  • Ensure compliance with federal state and local employment laws and regulations advising management on HR best practices.
  • Oversee recruitment onboarding employee development and retention strategies to attract and retain top talent.
  • Develop and maintain HR metrics to assess the effectiveness of HR programs and initiatives.
  • Serve as a strategic partner to senior leadership providing guidance on workforce planning talent management and organizational development.
  • Lead diversity equity and inclusion (DEI) initiatives to promote a diverse and inclusive workplace.
  • Manage employee benefits programs including health insurance retirement plans and wellness initiatives.
  • Oversee the administration of HR information systems (HRIS) and ensure accurate employee records are maintained.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the HR team fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.

MustHaves:

  1. Knowledge: Considerable knowledge of coworker relations including the principles practices and procedures of Human Resource Management.
  2. Education: Graduate from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Business or Public Administration Human Resource Management or a closely related field.
  3. Expertise: Strong knowledge of laws and regulations relating to Human Resources including employment law labor relations and compliance requirements.

NicetoHaves:

  1. Certifications: SHRM Certified Professional (PHR) or Senior Professional (SPHR) certification is preferred.
  2. Education: Masters degree in Human Resource Management Business Administration or a related field is preferred.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a senior HR leadership role with a focus on coworker relations and compliance.
  • Strong understanding of HR best practices employment law and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to develop and implement HR strategies that align with business objectives and promote a positive workplace culture.
  • Strong problemsolving skills with the ability to handle complex HR issues in a fastpaced environment.
  • Commitment to fostering a diverse inclusive and equitable workplace.
