Position Overview:
We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Director of People Services to lead our Human Resources team in Hot Springs AR. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR management with deep expertise in coworker relations and a thorough understanding of HR laws and regulations. This role is essential in ensuring that HR strategies align with organizational goals while fostering a positive and compliant workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of HR policies procedures and programs that support the organizations goals and foster a positive workplace culture.
- Manage all aspects of coworker relations including conflict resolution performance management and disciplinary actions.
- Ensure compliance with federal state and local employment laws and regulations advising management on HR best practices.
- Oversee recruitment onboarding employee development and retention strategies to attract and retain top talent.
- Develop and maintain HR metrics to assess the effectiveness of HR programs and initiatives.
- Serve as a strategic partner to senior leadership providing guidance on workforce planning talent management and organizational development.
- Lead diversity equity and inclusion (DEI) initiatives to promote a diverse and inclusive workplace.
- Manage employee benefits programs including health insurance retirement plans and wellness initiatives.
- Oversee the administration of HR information systems (HRIS) and ensure accurate employee records are maintained.
- Provide leadership and direction to the HR team fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
MustHaves:
- Knowledge: Considerable knowledge of coworker relations including the principles practices and procedures of Human Resource Management.
- Education: Graduate from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Business or Public Administration Human Resource Management or a closely related field.
- Expertise: Strong knowledge of laws and regulations relating to Human Resources including employment law labor relations and compliance requirements.
NicetoHaves:
- Certifications: SHRM Certified Professional (PHR) or Senior Professional (SPHR) certification is preferred.
- Education: Masters degree in Human Resource Management Business Administration or a related field is preferred.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a senior HR leadership role with a focus on coworker relations and compliance.
- Strong understanding of HR best practices employment law and regulatory requirements.
