Job Title: Special Education Teacher (K4) Location: Beverly MA Position Overview: The School in Beverly MA is seeking a dedicated and experienced Special Education Teacher for grades K4. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing highquality educational support to students with diverse learning needs. This role involves developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) collaborating with general education teachers and fostering an inclusive learning environment. Key Responsibilities: -
Instructional Planning and Delivery: - Develop and implement effective lesson plans tailored to meet the needs of students with varying disabilities.
- Adapt and modify curriculum to ensure students’ access to the general education curriculum.
- Use a variety of instructional strategies to meet individual learning styles and abilities.

Individualized Education Plans (IEPs): - Develop implement and monitor IEPs for students with special needs.
- Assess students’ progress toward IEP goals and adjust instruction as necessary.
- Collaborate with parents general education teachers and other service providers to ensure comprehensive support for each student.

Classroom Management: - Create a safe and supportive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and positive behavior.
- Implement classroom management strategies that promote socialemotional growth and academic achievement.
- Address behavioral issues promptly and effectively utilizing appropriate interventions and supports.

Collaboration and Communication: - Work closely with general education teachers specialists and administrators to support students’ inclusion in the general education environment.
- Provide guidance and support to classroom teachers in accommodating and modifying instruction for students with disabilities.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child’s progress and any concerns that may arise.

Assessment and Reporting: - Conduct assessments to determine students’ academic and functional levels.
- Regularly monitor and document student progress maintaining accurate and uptodate records.
- Prepare and present reports during IEP meetings and parentteacher conferences.

Professional Development: - Stay current with best practices in special education and attend professional development opportunities.
- Participate in schoolwide initiatives and collaborate with colleagues to enhance the educational experience for all students.
Qualifications: - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field.
- Massachusetts teaching certification in Special Education (Moderate Disabilities) required.
- Experience working with elementary school students with diverse learning needs.
- Strong understanding of special education laws IEP processes and inclusive teaching strategies.
- Excellent communication collaboration and organizational skills.
- Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
