Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist Location: Pittsburg CA Position Overview: The School District in Pittsburg CA is seeking a dedicated and skilled Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team. The SLP will be responsible for assessing diagnosing and treating students with speech language voice and fluency disorders. The ideal candidate will have experience working with diverse populations in a school setting and be committed to helping students achieve their communication goals. Key Responsibilities: -
Assessment and Diagnosis: - Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations to identify students with communication disorders.
- Analyze assessment results and develop individualized treatment plans based on students specific needs.
- Collaborate with teachers parents and other professionals to gather relevant information for accurate diagnosis.

Intervention and Therapy: - Provide individual and group therapy sessions to address speech and language disorders.
- Develop and implement effective treatment plans that are tailored to each students needs.
- Use evidencebased practices and a variety of intervention strategies to improve students communication skills.

IEP Development and Implementation: - Participate in the development and review of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with speech and language needs.
- Set measurable goals and objectives based on students assessments and needs.
- Monitor and document students progress toward IEP goals and adjust therapy as needed.

Collaboration and Consultation: - Work closely with teachers special education staff and parents to support students communication needs in the classroom.
- Provide training and resources to school staff on strategies to support speech and language development.
- Collaborate with other schoolbased professionals including psychologists occupational therapists and counselors.

Documentation and Reporting: - Maintain accurate and uptodate records of all assessments treatment plans therapy sessions and progress reports.
- Prepare and present reports for IEP meetings parent conferences and other required documentation.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations regarding speech and language services.

Professional Development: - Stay informed about current research trends and best practices in speechlanguage pathology.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Engage in ongoing learning to ensure the delivery of highquality services to students.
Qualifications: - Master’s degree in SpeechLanguage Pathology from an accredited program.
- Valid California SpeechLanguage Pathology license or eligibility for licensure.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in SpeechLanguage Pathology (CCCSLP) preferred.
- Experience working with schoolaged children including those with special needs.
- Knowledge of IEP processes and special education laws.
- Strong communication collaboration and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively with students families and school staff.
