Job Description
What you will be doing:
Manage and report on agency financial processes and records
Maintain and update the general ledger accounting system on an accrual basis
Prepare daily and weekly financial statements for the CEO
Prepare monthly financial statements for management and the Board of Directors
Handle cash management
Prepare financial and statistical reports for management
Monitor the preparation and timely filing of all required tax returns and reports
Facilitate the completion of the annual audit conducted by an independent CPA firm
Ensure and monitor compliance with financial policies and procedures as well as local state and federal tax policies and laws
Prepare financial reports as prescribed by grant funding sources
Conduct monthend and yearend closures
Prepare the annual operating budget in accordance with UFMS including all attendant schedules
Assist the CEO in developing the annual budget for Board approval
Perform budget analysis and reporting
Prepare annual budget and attendant schedules for all funding requests
Prepare budgets for grant applications
Monitor and report variations from budget on a monthly basis to management and the Board
Prepare annual reconciliation of unit cost as prescribed by Medicaid and ODMH
Prepare all other required financial reports
Perform other duties as assigned
Experience you will need:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting finance or related field
Minimum of three years of experience
Ohio CPA license highly desired
Experience with healthcare nonprofit or mental health/behavioral health finances highly preferred
Experience with business software including QuickBooks and Excel is required
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Attention to detail and the ability to work individually or as part of a team is required
