About The Role
The Head of Controlling is responsible for the following;
- The P&L regarding topline investments (Sales and Marketing).
- Supporting the Country Manager and the local topline team in defining a strategy by category and brand with an accompanying action plan in order to achieve the defined targets.
- Optimize ROI on advertising promotion trade terms and other topline activation levers along with topline teams.
- Optimize ROI on innovation / renovation projects by developing robust business cases.
- Ensure that advertising and sales related financial information are reliable and reflects uptodate commitments. Ensure that all internal and external reporting requirements are performed on time and in full compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Responsible of country financial processes related to topline (Net Sales and advertising) both in actuals (preclosing and closing) and forecasting (GPS and budget)
2. Support topline performance through adhoc analysis and recommendations.
- Innovation business case
- Promotions ROI optimization
- Pricing optimization
- Brand strategy
- P&L Advertising effectiveness
- Customer strategy and P&L
- Trade terms effectiveness
3. Follow up sales discounts trade terms advertising promotions expenses and contribute to monthly accounts closing
4. Establish group reporting of items mainly Net Sales variance & Topline by Brand
5. Ensure accuracy of the correct allocation of the trend spend and advertising by brand and customer
6. Maintain local Business Intelligence tools updated on items mainly Gross to Net Advertising and Promotions and split by Customer and Brand respectively
7. Review and approve trade spends commitments as per defined policy advertising purchase contracts including media contract
8. Ensure compliance of accounting and perform internal controls as per policy.
Requirements
- Masters degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA is preferred but not required.
- Minimum of 10 years of finance and accounting experience including finance business controlling accounting audit and analysis (including gathering evaluating presenting and reporting financial information to management and external stakeholders) within a multinational business.
- Solid experience in coordinating audit activities and managing reporting budget development and analysis general ledger and accounting for investments.
- Change management ready for Integrated Business Services roadmap.
- Proactive handson manager who will own projects.
- Strategic thinker who possesses solid business acumen and can organize and manage multiple priorities.
- Exceptional verbal and written communications skills and the ability to interact effectively with others both internally and externally.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to perform multiple tasks and meet critical deadlines while maintaining accuracy and quality.
- Proven ability to make complex and timesensitive decisions in the best interests of the organization.
