Key points

  • Candidate must speak German and English. French is a plus.
  • Mechanical Engineering degree preferred.
  • Candidate must reside in Germany or Austria.
  • Industrial background preferably in Machine Tools Modular Tools Cutter Grinders and Tool Grinding.
  • Sales experience with distributors and OEMs.

Tasks

Business travels

Travel is required for this position :

The Sales Manager will spend at least 50% of their time visiting customers and creating relationships on the road.

Ideal profile

Experience traveling for sales 50% of the time. They are willing to come to Switzerland to train on products. They have experience with modular tools for machines

Languages required:

German Native

English Fluent

French Professional

Requirements

THE FOLLOWING ARE THE MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JOB:

  • Manage and develop contacts in your region.
  • Develop new leads for all product lines.
  • Generate statistical reports.
  • Follow up on sales leads and make calls on potential customers.
  • Determine market strategies and goals for each product and service.
  • Obtain and coordinate data and information from staff and member groups.
  • Be selfsufficient and independent in scheduling.
  • Research and develop lists of potential customers.
  • Determine customer needs and provide information to other staff.
  • Evaluate product and service marketability in terms of customers technical and manufacturing needs.
  • Maintain an uptodate understanding of industry trends and technical developments that affect target markets.
  • Establish and maintain industry contacts that lead to sales.
  • Work directly with customers to establish a communication path with them.
  • Develop sales and marketing proposals for customers on technical products and services.
  • Develop technical presentations and workshops.
  • Maintain uptodate awareness of activities industry trends and government regulations.
  • Make regular sales calls to develop relationships and follow up on leads.
  • Establish longterm ongoing and repeat relationships.
  • Close deals and finalize contracts.
  • Maintain an uptodate working knowledge of newly developing technologies and manufacturing practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
