Position Description: Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Voice Systems Trainer to join their team in Arlington Virginia. As an integral part of the team the Voice Systems Trainer will provide standup classroom training to Information Management Specialists (IMS) Information Management Technical Specialists (IMTS) locally engaged staff (LES) Diplomatic Security (DS) and employees from other U.S. Government agencies on various telephone/voice and data networking systems and related equipment.
Required Experience:
- 5 years of experience with voice systems engineering installation operations and maintenance.
- Experience delivering classroom instruction in an adult environment is a must.
- Dynamic and engaging presence while on the podium.
- Programming and maintaining Avaya family of switches including CS1000E Call Server.
- Vendor Certification is desired.
- Programming and maintaining voice mail systems such as Call Pilot or Cisco Unity Connection.
- Identifying and resolving QOS routing and realtime communications problems.
- Minimum Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) level certification required within 180 days of starting work.
- Certified Technical Trainer (CTT) certification; if not certified at entry on duty must obtain the CTT certification or complete the Department of State Training Tradecraft course (PD505) within 180 days of starting work.
- Experience as an instructor in an adultoriented technical training environment.
- Comprehensive knowledge of training methods and behavior sciences associated with adult education instruction.
- Design classroom seminars and workshops to meet the needs of specialized users as needed.
- Provide oneonone tutoring and review sessions to augment classroom and online training.
