Job Description

About the company:
Our client a leading player in the manufacturing industry is looking for a dynamic Sales Manager to spearhead growth in their Collets and Toolholders product line. This role is ideal for someone who excels at building strong relationships understanding customer needs and crafting tailored solutions to drive sales.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • Fluency in German and English is required; French is a plus.
  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
  • Must be located in Germany or Austria.
  • Industrial background particularly in Machine Tools Modular Tools Cutter Grinders and Tool Grinding.
  • Proven sales experience with distributors and OEMs.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage sales relationships within your region.
  • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities across all product lines.
  • Prepare and present sales activity reports.
  • Follow up on leads and reach out to potential clients.
  • Formulate market strategies and set product/service goals.
  • Collaborate with staff and member groups to gather and analyze data.
  • Independently manage your work schedule.
  • Research and compile potential customer lists.
  • Communicate customer needs to internal teams and assess marketability.
  • Stay updated on industry trends technical developments and regulations.
  • Build and maintain industry contacts to drive sales growth.
  • Establish clear communication channels with customers.
  • Develop and deliver sales and marketing proposals for technical products/services.
  • Create technical presentations and conduct workshops.
  • Make regular sales calls to nurture relationships and follow up on leads.
  • Close deals and finalize contracts.
  • Maintain uptodate knowledge of new technologies and manufacturing practices.
  • Perform other duties as required.
Travel Requirements:
  • Expect to travel at least 50% of the time to visit customers and strengthen relationships.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
  • Experienced in sales travel and willing to train in Switzerland on product lines.
  • A background in modular tools for machines is highly preferred.
Other Essential Skills:
  • Expertise in sales and prospecting.
  • Strong client rapport and relationship management.
  • Experience in outside sales and CNC machining.
