Job Description
Location: Onsite 3x a week (TuesThurs)
12month contract
candidate either local to Phoenix or willing to relocate
Ideal candidate:
GCP (Google Cloud) SME
Must understand security controls and the 5 pillars of cloud
Automation mindset: uses HashiCorp have 6 or 7 one being Terraform (most common and mandatory) Sentinel is a second but basic knowledge is ok
Cost Optimization mindset: if they build a capacity its a real dollar (not like onprem)
Java or Golang development: building in a public cloud is simple to click buttons but the automation piece needs to make sure they cover all the offerings
Security: can keep security of the cloud in mind to protect the brand
Responsibilities:
Bachelors or master s degree in computer science computer engineering or other technical discipline or equivalent work experience
5 years of experience with Infrastructure automation tools (Terraform) with a focus on IaC and immutable infrastructure.
5 years of experience with GCP cloud offerings
Develop an indepth understanding of Google Clouds GKE/Anthos product technology and underlying architectures by troubleshooting reproducing and determining the root cause for customerreported issues building tools and faster diagnosis.
Software development experience in one of the OO programming language: Java Go and or Python
Understanding of good cloud architecture to ensure high availability while ensuring the highest level of security and visibility.
Strong background of Container & Orchestration Technologies such as Docker Kubernetes Openshift
Understanding of Traffic Flow Management to include Service Mesh concepts with experience in Istio preferred as well as how GTM and LTMs manage traffic flows.
Experience with Logging and Monitoring tools such as Stackdriver Prometheus Splunk ELK Dynatrace or AppDynamics.
FinOps (cloud) domain knowledge preferred
Ability to effectively interpret technical and business objectives and challenges and articulate solutions
Confirmed support of production systems at scale.
Willingness to learn new technologies and exploit them to their optimal potential
Act as consultant and subject matter expert for internal stakeholders in engineering sales customer organizations to resolve technical deployment obstacles and improve Google Cloud.
