Position: Product Development & Innovation Officer (PDIO)
Location: Remote
Commitment: EquityBased PartTime (2530 hours per week)
Overview:
BizVidya is an edtech startup dedicated to creating industrydemand shortterm courses and holistic skillbased programs for colleges and universities. We are seeking a Product Development & Innovation Officer (PDIO) with deep expertise in education and research to lead the development and innovation of our educational products. This role is crucial for driving product strategy ensuring alignment with market needs and fostering educational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Strategy & Development:
- Lead the development and enhancement of educational products focusing on shortterm courses and college inclusion programs.
- Research and analyze market trends educational gaps and industry demands to identify opportunities for new products or improvements to existing offerings.
- Collaborate with the curriculum development team to design innovative impactful and scalable learning solutions.
Innovation & Research:
- Drive innovation in product design by integrating the latest educational research technologies and methodologies.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement encouraging experimentation and exploration of new educational models.
- Identify and collaborate with academic and industry partners to cocreate cuttingedge educational programs.
Market Alignment & Competitive Analysis:
- Ensure that all products are aligned with current market needs and trends positioning BizVidya as a leader in the edtech space.
- Conduct competitive analysis to identify differentiators and unique selling propositions (USPs) for our products.
- Develop strategies to position our offerings in the market effectively considering pricing features and delivery methods.
CrossFunctional Collaboration:
- Work closely with the marketing sales and operations teams to ensure successful product launches and campaigns.
- Provide insights and expertise to the marketing team to create compelling narratives and content that resonate with target audiences.
- Support the sales team with product knowledge and strategies to drive adoption and engagement.
Performance & Impact Assessment:
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of products and initiatives.
- Analyze student outcomes feedback and market reception to refine and optimize products continuously.
- Present findings and recommendations to the leadership team to inform strategic decisions.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in education and research with a strong understanding of current trends and challenges in the edtech space.
- Expertise in curriculum design educational product development and instructional innovation.
- Ability to analyze complex data market trends and research findings to inform product decisions.
- Strong leadership and project management skills with experience leading crossfunctional teams.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in Education Research or a related field.
- Experience working in edtech startups or similar environments.
- Proven track record of successful product launches in the education sector.
Compensation:
- Equitybased compensation with potential for fixed compensation upon securing funding.
