Job Summary:
Our client is seeking a talented and experienced Chef to join their team in Kiambu County. The ideal candidate will have 35 years of culinary experience a diploma in Culinary Arts and a proven track record of working in highend 3 to 5star hotels. The Chef will be responsible for creating and executing highquality menus managing kitchen operations and ensuring an exceptional dining experience for our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Menu Planning and Development:
- Design and update menus that reflect creativity quality and seasonality.
- Ensure menus cater to a diverse clientele including special dietary requirements.
- Kitchen Operations Management:
- Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations including food preparation cooking and plating.
- Ensure kitchen staff adhere to hygiene safety and sanitation standards.
- Manage inventory order supplies and maintain cost control.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead train and mentor kitchen staff fostering a collaborative and professional work environment.
- Schedule and supervise kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Quality Control:
- Monitor food quality presentation and consistency to maintain the highest standards.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Customer Experience:
- Interact with guests to gather feedback and ensure satisfaction.
- Adjust menus and service based on customer preferences and trends.
- Cost Management:
- Monitor food and labor costs to meet budgetary requirements.
- Implement costsaving measures without compromising quality.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Diploma in Culinary Arts or a related field.
- 35 years of experience as a Chef in a 3 to 5star hotel.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
