Were seeking a Controls Engineer to join our expanding team at our flagship North American facility. Youll play a key role in advancing our automation systems ensuring high performance and reliability across our production lines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design & Implementation: Develop and deploy stateoftheart control systems to optimize automation processes enhancing system performance and reliability.
- CrossFunctional Collaboration: Work closely with production maintenance and quality assurance teams to design and refine automated processes that boost operational efficiency.
- Technology Integration: Lead the integration of new control technologies into existing systems ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement solutions to enhance automation processes aiming to reduce downtime and increase productivity.
- Technical Support: Provide ongoing support to maintain optimal performance of automation systems troubleshooting and resolving issues as they arise.
- Programming: Program and finetune control software and hardware including PLCs HMIs and robotic systems to achieve targeted operational outcomes.
- Documentation & Compliance: Maintain comprehensive documentation of control systems and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Travel: Offer expertise across multiple locations with travel up to 40% to support system installations upgrades and troubleshooting.
What We re Looking For:
- Education: BS in Electrical Engineering Automation Computer Science or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in controls engineering with a strong background in automation and robotics plus at least 2 years of manufacturing experience in any industry.
- Skills: Proficient in PLC programming HMI development and SCADA systems particularly with Allen Bradley systems robotics and ladder logic.
- Technical Proficiency: Ability to program and modify automation equipment and quickly learn new systems.
- Analytical Skills: Strong problemsolving abilities to address complex technical challenges.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a collaborative approach to teamwork.
- Flexibility: Willingness to travel as needed to support various projects across our locations.
