Job Description

This is a remote position.

Position Overview:

The Logistics Supervisor is responsible for managing the daytoday logistics operations ensuring that all processes are executed efficiently and that goods are delivered on time and in perfect condition. This role involves coordinating with suppliers managing inventory supervising a team of logistics staff and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with a deep understanding of logistics and supply chain management excellent problemsolving skills and the ability to thrive in a fastpaced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Management:

    • Oversee the daily operations of the logistics department including receiving storing and distributing goods.
    • Develop and implement efficient logistics processes to optimize the flow of goods and minimize costs.
    • Coordinate with suppliers carriers and customers to ensure timely delivery of goods.
    • Monitor and manage inventory levels to prevent shortages or excess stock ensuring that inventory records are accurate and uptodate.
  • Team Supervision:

    • Lead and supervise a team of logistics staff including warehouse workers drivers and coordinators.
    • Assign tasks set performance goals and monitor the progress of the team.
    • Provide training guidance and support to team members to ensure they meet performance standards and adhere to company policies.
    • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members to foster professional growth.
  • Compliance and Safety:

    • Ensure that all logistics operations comply with local state and federal regulations including health and safety standards.
    • Implement and enforce safety protocols to minimize workplace accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
    • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
    • Maintain accurate records of safety incidents and report them to management as required.
  • Transportation Management:

    • Manage and optimize the use of transportation resources including companyowned vehicles and thirdparty carriers.
    • Schedule and coordinate shipments ensuring that all deliveries are made on time and within budget.
    • Monitor transportation costs and implement strategies to reduce expenses without compromising service quality.
    • Resolve transportationrelated issues such as delays damage or lost goods in a timely and effective manner.
  • Inventory and Warehouse Management:

    • Oversee the storage handling and distribution of goods in the warehouse ensuring that all inventory is stored safely and efficiently.
    • Implement inventory control procedures to prevent loss damage or theft of goods.
    • Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies between physical inventory and records.
    • Ensure that the warehouse is clean organized and meets all regulatory and safety requirements.
  • Process Improvement:

    • Continuously evaluate logistics processes and identify areas for improvement to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
    • Implement new technologies and best practices to enhance logistics operations and streamline workflows.
    • Collaborate with other departments such as procurement production and sales to ensure that logistics operations align with company goals.
    • Monitor industry trends and developments to stay informed about new logistics practices and technologies.
  • Reporting and Communication:

    • Prepare and submit regular reports on logistics performance including key metrics such as delivery times costs and inventory levels.
    • Communicate effectively with senior management providing updates on logistics operations and addressing any issues or concerns.
    • Maintain open lines of communication with suppliers carriers and customers to ensure smooth operations and resolve any logistical challenges.
    • Document and report any logisticsrelated incidents such as delays damages or safety violations to management.


Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in Logistics Supply Chain Management Business Administration or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Logistics Supervisor Warehouse Supervisor or in a similar logistics management role.
  • Strong understanding of logistics and supply chain management principles and practices.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and tools such as WMS (Warehouse Management System) and TMS (Transportation Management System).
  • Strong organizational and problemsolving skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of health safety and regulatory standards related to logistics and transportation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers carriers and customers.
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and make decisions under pressure.
  • Familiarity with inventory management and control techniques.
  • Certifications such as Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) are a plus.

Qualifications: Bachelor s degree in Project Management, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. Proven experience as an Implementation Lead, Project Manager, or in a similar role, with a strong track record of successful project delivery. Strong understanding of project management methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide cross-functional teams. Exceptional client management skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships. Strong technical background, with experience in software implementation, system integration, or IT project management. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to navigate complex challenges. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously. Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Asana) and collaboration tools (e.g., Slack, Trello). Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. PMP, PRINCE2, or other relevant project management certifications are a plus.
