Urgent Requirement for Accountant in Papua New Guinea
Open Position: Accountant: (2 Nos.)
Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee the daily operations of the company
Monitor and analyse data and produce financial reports and statements
Establish and enforce proper accounting methods policies and principles
Coordinate and complete annual audits
Design and implement amendments on accounting systems and controls if required
Supervises trains develops and guide the accounts team
Maintain inventory and fixed assets
Monitor the balances of individual debtors and corporate debtors
Liaise with IRC and any other statutory and nonstatutory organization
Performs any functions other than those mentioned earlier that affects the finances of the company
Skills and Requirements:
Bachelor of Science in Accountancy or related course in Accounting
With at least 3 years of experience in similar role
Proven knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping principles practices standards laws and regulations
High attention to detail
Ability to direct and supervise
Strong communication skills fluent in English
Terms of Recruitment:
Contract period: 4 years
Office hours: Monday to Saturday 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM with one day off per week.
Accommodation : One bedroom in a shared accommodation with basic furnishings.
Utilities and other expenses will be the sole responsibility of the employee.
Food allowance : USD 83 per month.
Transportation : Free transportation to and from work and on off days.
Medical insurance : As per medical insurance policy including an evacuation component in case the employee contracts illnesses not treatable locally and any deductibles levied by the insurance company (currently 20% excess) will be the responsibility of the employee.
Joining Ticket :Free airfare from point of origin to PNG and back after the completion of contract.
Leave Policy : Entitled to six weeks of holiday / annual leave payments after two years of service including free airfare.
Gross salary in USD : 610 833 per month
